The church and monastery of Sant'Agostino

Among the tours and trips organised by Sotto Le Mura di Leonardo, in collaboration with other institutions, we should mention the visit to the church of Sant'Agostino. It is a Catholic place of worship in the old town centre of San Gimignano, and is also Archdiocese of Siena-Colle di Val d'Elsa-Montalcino.

Adjacent to the church stand the Augustinian monastery and a 15th-century cloister. These places housed until 1983 the ornithological collection donated to the municipality of San Gimignano by Marquise Marianna Panciatichi Ximenes of Aragon Paulucci was housed in 1918. Today, it is exhibited in the church of Quercecchio.
